This is pre-Christmas. Samuel loves to cuddle with daddy. He had just woke up from a nap but wasn't quite ready to be up. We take advantage of any cuddle moments.
Santa came and visited us Christmas Eve. The kids loved it. Samuel wasn't sure at first what to think of him but since a present was involved he was willing to sit on his lap. This year we spent Christmas with Tami's side of the family. Most of my brothers and sisters where there. It was fun to see everyone and all the cousins had so much fun playing with each other. It is quite a chore getting that many people together and have a bed for them all. We created a great memory and we will cherish it always.
A tradition on my side is to have a program/talent show on Christmas Eve. This started when I was just a little girl and grandma has managed to keep it going. Sometimes it is a pain to put skits together but it is worth it. Everyone does such a great job. Samuel played the bell and sang Jingle Bells. He did a great job. He got a little carried away and started showing off. He was jumping on one leg and then went to the floor and kicked one leg out. I wish we would have video taped it. After all the skits grandpa read the story of Christ's birth out of the Bible.
It is a tradition in our family to get new PJ's on Christmas Eve. Samuel got ones with tractors on them. Sleep tight Sam......
Right before bed (Christmas eve) we took a picture of all the grand kids with the grand parents. What a good looking bunch!
Christmas morning was a lot of fun. It was so fun to watch the kids open their presents and see how excited they were. Samuel really made out with all his gifts. He has more toys than he knows what to do with. Thanks to Santa, mom and dad, grandparents from both sides and friends. My sister Maria and her daughter Marlee are sitting to the left of us.
As you can see, Arco got quite a snow storm Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It was still snowing as you can see from the white dots in the picture. All the men and kids had a great time in the snow. I think we got 2 feet over all. I was surprised how long Samuel stayed out in the snow.
Grandpa and Samuel had the easy job when shoveling the snow. They got to sit in a warm tractor and move the snow. Samuel had the time of his life. Thanks Grandpa.
When we got home from Arco we had to do some shoveling from the storm. Thank goodness a neighbor had plowed our driveway so all Travis and Samuel had to do were the edges and sidewalks. Thank you Scott!!!!
