Happy Halloween!!

It was Travis's birthday on Nov 3rd. His parents came and celebrated with us. I think the kids were more excited about the gifts then he was.
For Halloween Samuel was a "Dinosaur Trainer". I got this costume at a thrift store for a $1.00. I was pretty excited and Sam loved it. He couldn't wait for the trick or treating part. Holidays are so much more fun when your kids get excited about them.
Aria as you can tell was a witch. She wasn't as excited at Sam was. ;) I changed her in to some black shoes as she could barely walk with these purple boots on. But she sure was cute.
Zachary was a Harlem Globe Trotter. Sam was this when he was Zach's age to and they both were adorable. He was a little bit more excited than Aria was but he wouldn't leave his head band on. I'm surprised I got this picture with it on.
We are remodeling our laundry room. Travis is above and Travis's mom is below. They both worked hard and still are working. I'll post the finished product. It will be so nice.

This was one of the last warm enough days for the kids to play outside. We got a bunch of leaves from our next door neighbors and put on our gardens. The kids had a blast in the leaves. They all love being outside but Zach could play out there forever. He is an explorer.

End of summer fun.....

At the end of August we went to my parents in Rexburg to stay a night with them. They took us to a little pond and we did some fishing. Sam caught one but it got away before we could net it.
While at my parents they took us to this little park for a picnic. It had a really fun little water park for the kids to play in. As you can see Samuel had a blast.
Zach was content in playing in the water fountains.Aria got to try the slide out. She loved it and walked right back up to try again.
Also at the end of August Travis's mom and I took the kids up to Bear Lake for one last time. Zach loved it and would have played forever in the water. It was a perfect day.
Aria also loves the water. She'll lay on her stomach and pretend to swim. The water is shallow enough that I don't worry to much about the kids. They can walk quite a ways before I'd have to worry about them.
The kid's cousin Max got to come with us. Sam and him played very well together and made some great sand castles.
For Labor Day we took the kids to Riverdale resort. It is great because the water is so warm. Sam would swim and jump off the sides of the pool with out help so Travis and I could take care of the twins. They will be much happier when they can float with a life jacket on their own.
My little boy is growing up fast. This is his first day of pre school. He was so excited. He loves his teacher and all the fun activities they do.
Zach and Aria are always trying to find something new to entertain themselves. This time it was to crawl in the draw and sit.
At the beginning of October I ran a 10k with some of my sisters and my friend Holly. It was so much fun and now I kinda have the bug for running. It was my first race ever and it was perfect running weather. It was at Thanksgiving point. It was fun to have my sisters there to support and encourage each other. I can't wait for the next one.
This is at the end of the race. (Me, Maria and Shea.) My sisters Lori, Amy and my brother Wade were at the finish line cheering us on. It was so good to have them there. Next year my sisters Lori and Amy are going to join us for a race. I can't wait. It will be so much fun and I can't think of anyone else I rather run with.

So much fun.....

Up in Arco visiting my sister. Zachary, Tate (cousin) and Aria. They had a blast playing in the back yard.
We all went to the Mackey reservoir and played in the water. Sam was pretty tuckered out when we headed home.
Zachary's first hair cut. He really needed one.
He actually held still quite well.
My handsome boy.
Samuel took swimming lessons at the Smithfield Rec. Center. He had so much fun. I think he wore out the teachers but he did learn a lot and now can put his head under water with out freaking out.
Zach loves putting hats on his head. He sure is a cute cowboy.
Aria has only fallen asleep once at the table and I was able to get a picture of it.
We had the Porter Family reunion at the end of July. This is Samuel and his cousin Corrine. He love playing in the pool, going down the slide, playing with the cousins and sleeping in a tent with daddy.
Aria and Zach love the water and especially if they can stand up in it. (Porter Reunion)
Zach got tuckered out so cousin Kaylee rocked him to sleep. How sweet! (Porter Reunion)
In the pool with daddy. (Porter Reunion)
We had the Rasmussen Family Reunion the first week end in August. We went to the Riverdale resort and had a blast. The kids stayed in the mineral pool the whole time as it was heated. This is Zachary and daddy.
Aria and Mommy.
One night of the family reunion, Travis set up everything and we watch a movie out side on a projector. It was a lot of fun!
Samuel going down the slide at Riverdale resort. Stacy (Lori's boyfriend) is with Sam but you can't see him. I don't know how many times he went down with Samuel. Thank you Stacy!
Samuel is getting braver and jumping to mommy as Zach watches in his floaty.
Samuel got even braver and jumped off the diving board with mommy. He said it was fun but didn't want to do it again.
The first night of the reunion we had a BBQ and played bingo. Samuel and Taya got bingo at the same time.
Still playing bingo. We had lots of prizes; therefore, we had lots of bingo games.
Travis was a trooper and cooked everyone's meat. Thanks Babe.
Samuel's 4th birthday finally came. Thank goodness for mom because every day he'd ask if it was his birthday. He invited G & G Porter over for the evening. We had taco salad (his choice) and cup cakes with balloons. He got a butterfly net and a bug catcher kit from them and plays with it every day.
Samuel got Lego's from mom and dad, P.J.'s from Aria and Zach and lots of money from Great G & G Spackman, Great Grandma Welch and G & G Rasmussen. The thing that made me a proud mom was that he wanted to pay his tithing right away. Happy birthday son!

We have had such a fun summer and hoping to get a few more fun outings in before the good weather is gone.

Summer Fun!!!

Samuel got to pick a ride to go on at the Lewiston's 4th of July celebration in the park. This is the one he choose.
For the 4th of July we went to Lewiston's celebration in the park. It was just a little one but just perfect for us and the kids. I love the 4th of July holiday and I always buy a little shirt for the kids to wear on this very special day.
It's funny what your kids may look like after eating. This is one of those times. (Aria)
(L to R) Zachary, Mae (cousin) and Aria. They were born with in a month of each other.
Aria (Right) and Zach (Left) loved being in G & G Porter's pool. Thank goodness Zach's floaty kept him a-float. He was always trying to reach into the water.
Samuel is into putting things on his head and asking me what he looks like. I always say.... "an alien with and silver (or what ever color of pan he has on his head) hat on." He thinks it's the funniest thing.
Zachary will often fall asleep at lunch time because it is right before nap time. The other day he was eating with his eyes closed.
Aria loves getting in and out of this little rocking chair. It will keep her busy for quite a while.
Zach is getting crazy hair like his sister. I think it is time for a hair cut.
This picture was taken on Father's Day. I love this bunch so much. Travis is a wonderful father and all the kids love him too. I'm thankful for a husband who is such a good father to our kids. I feel quite blessed.
